Profile of the English Education Study Program
The English Language Education study program is one of the study programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Language and Literature Education (FPISBS) at the Indonesian Institute of Education (IPI) Garut. The English Language Education study program is a study program that provides quality English language education to produce English language educators in the formal and non-formal sectors. This study program has been established since 1986 and has achieved EXCELLENT accreditation based on LAMDIK Decree No. 1240 / SK / LAMDIK / Ak-BDG / S / VII / 2025. The degree awarded to graduates of the English Language Education study program is a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.). The English Language Education study program curriculum consists of 150 credits spread across 8 semesters. Compulsory courses consist of 140 credits and elective courses 10 credits out of 12 credits of elective courses offered. The 12 credits of elective courses are Translation, Teaching Indonesian as a Foreign Language, Copywriting, Interpreting, Proofreading and Editing, dan English for Business and Economics which consist of 2 credit hours respectively.
